Dr. Mike grew up in Montreal where his father practiced optometry for over 50 years, and is where he was first exposed to the profession and patient care. He graduated with Great Distinction from McGill University with a Bachelor’s degree in Anatomical Sciences. He then went on to Boston, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Academic Honour Society and received his optometric degree from The New England College of Optometry in 1998. He has been practicing in the Yorkville and downtown area of Toronto since just after his graduation. He has worked as a clinical investigator on contact lens studies, as an advisor for ocular technology companies, and has presented lectures on a range of eye-related issues. He passionately committed to the promotion of eye health and as such served as a director on the board of the Ontario Association of Optometrists for 6 years.
Dr. Mike’s professional goal is to build a practice based on relationships with patients. He looks to gain patients who will stay with him for life and refer their family, friends and colleagues to the practice. His mode of practice is to provide care, education as well as access to all of his patients.
Areas of particular interest: His areas of particular interest are contact lenses and children’s eye care, and ocular disease management, but his practice is not restricted to these areas. He see’s patient as young as 1 year old as well as the elderly. He is trained to diagnose, treat and manage most ocular disease, and has an extensive network of the best specialists that he refers to, including LASER refractive surgeons and cosmetic surgeons. The practice has a complete optical dispensary with a wide selection of designer eye-ware at extremely competitive prices.
Dr. Mike is married with 2 sons. He enjoys staying fit, music, traveling, and having fun with his family and friends.
