Dr. Hadassa Rutman earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University Of New York College Of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) as well as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
As a young adolescent, Dr. Rutman had a strabismus (wandering eye) and was experiencing double vision. As a result, she had to work much harder in school and experienced fatigue with reading. With the help of her optometrist she was able to seek the necessary treatment and eliminate my visual symptoms. This facilitated her interest in pediatrics and binocular vision.
Dr. Rutman has been in practice for 8 years and her specialties include Binocular Vision/Vision Therapy, Pediatrics, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Primary Care. She was an adjunct professor at the State University of New York, College of Optometry in the area of Binocular Vision. She is a proud member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), American Academy of Optometry (AAO), and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
